What counts as 1 Munch?
One Munch = one full generation. You paste a URL, hit Munch, and get all 8 outputs at once. It uses 1 Munch regardless of how many outputs are included.
Does it work on private or unlisted YouTube videos?
Munch works on any public YouTube video with captions enabled. It uses 5 different transcript extraction strategies and falls back through each one — so it handles far more videos than competitors.
My video failed — what do I do?
The most common reason is missing captions. If the video has no captions or auto-generated subtitles, Munch can't extract a transcript. Try switching to the Transcript tab and pasting the transcript manually — you can get it from YouTube Studio, your podcast editor, or a tool like Descript.
Can I use it for podcasts?
Yes. If you have a YouTube link, Vimeo link, or a transcript from your podcast editor, Munch can process it. Just paste the transcript directly using the "Paste Transcript" mode.
What languages are supported?
Munch generates output in 16 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Arabic, Hindi, Turkish, Indonesian, and Swedish.
Do unused Munches roll over?
On subscription plans, Munches reset at the start of each billing cycle — they don't roll over. Pay As You Go Munches never expire.
Can I regenerate an individual output?
Yes. Each output card has a ↺ regenerate button. It rewrites just that piece using your other outputs as context. Regenerating does not cost a Munch. You can regenerate each output up to 3 times per munch.
What's the difference between the plans?
The main difference is the number of Munches per month. All plans include all 8 outputs except SEO Blog Post, which requires Small Business or above. Enterprise adds unlimited Munches (50/day cap). See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
How do team seats work?
Small Business plans include 2 team seats; Enterprise includes 4. You invite teammates by email from your dashboard. They get their own login but generate content against your shared Munch pool — no extra subscription required for them.
What is bulk processing?
Switch to Bulk mode in the dashboard and paste up to 10 YouTube or Vimeo URLs (one per line). Munch processes them one by one, each costing 1 Munch. Results appear in your history as each finishes.
How do custom brand instructions work?
In your dashboard sidebar, save a free-text instruction that applies to every generation — e.g. "Always write in first person. Never use buzzwords like 'leverage' or 'synergy'. Sign off every email with my name, Sarah." These layer on top of your chosen brand voice preset.
How does Ask the Beast work?
After generation, you can have a conversation with Claude about your content. Ask it to rewrite, improve, shorten, or riff in a different direction. It has full context of everything Munch generated. Available on Creator and above.
How does Buffer scheduling work?
Connect your Buffer account via the Buffer card in the dashboard sidebar. Once connected, LinkedIn and X output cards show a "Buffer →" button — click it to add the post directly to your Buffer queue without leaving Munch.
What is the webhook / Zapier integration?
On Pro plans and above you can add a webhook URL in your dashboard. After every generation, Munch POSTs all 8 outputs as JSON to that URL — connect it to Zapier, Make, Notion, Airtable, or any automation tool.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to the pricing page and click "Manage Billing" — this opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
